CSMA’s Director

I have the pleasure to offer you the most cordial welcome to the Óscar Esplá Superior Music Conservatory of Alicante, an institution with more than fifty years of history and a well-established academic tradition. All our degrees are adapted to the European Space of Higher Education and cover, around music, the areas of interpretation, creation, research and pedagogy.

The CSM Alicante is part of the Campus of Alicante within the Institute of Artistic Studies of the Valencian Community (ISEACV). More than four hundred people integrate the CSMA community among students, teachers and professionals in administration and services.

For the overall offer of teaching, research and culture, the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Alicante has been consolidated, as well as a superior center of artistic teaching of music in undergraduate education (Bachelor’s Degree in Advanced Artistic Education en Music) and graduate studies (Máster en Artistic Studies in Interpretation and Research of Music), as one of the institutions of reference in the generation and transmission of Music Knowledge in Spain.

In reaching the benchmark objective of R & D is a determined commitment to NICT (New Technologies of Information and Communication) and the most advanced resources for learning and research.

Students have free internet access in the center. In the same way, as an objective of the first magnitude is the internationalization of training for both students and teachers, driven by a vigorous mobility policy.

Likewise, in the management of our resources, the promotion of culture and social and environmental commitment are highlighted. As an institution involved in Sustainable Development, it participates in the construction of a more balanced, fair and united world.

As Director, the Conservatory model that I present to you is, above all, that of a public service. A center open to society as a whole to whose progress the CSMA should contribute.Essentially we intend to work towards a more humane Conservatory, from the proximity to people; Managing with them and for them, encouraging participation and dialogue. To achieve this, in my opinion, it is essential to promote the integration of people, groups, bodies and groups around a common and shared project. A project in which we all feel part and no one feels excluded.

Among all we will achieve that the CSM Alicante is a more dynamic, more competent center and with a greater commitment with its challenges of public service to the whole society.Our goal is to be better every day and together, we will surely face our great challenge: the future.
