What is the CSMA Institutional Repository?
R-CSMA is a repository containing files in digital format from scientific and academic research, teaching and activities carried out by CSMA members.
The objective is to make these files available to interested parties, disseminating and giving visibility to the activity carried out by the CSMA.
The material available in the R-CSMA will consist of:
- Final Degree Projects
- End of Master Works
- Scores
- Digital magazines published by the CSMA
- Recordings
- Images
- Academic Memorys
- Communications to congresses, conferences or seminars
- Posters of activities organized by the CSMA
- Scientific articles produced by CSMA members
The identification of the deposited materials is carried out through the use of metadata that will describe for each file:
- Title
- Author/s
- Research group, if applicable
- Center, department
- Sponsors, if applicable
- Area of knowledge
- Date of publication
- Language
- Description
- Identifier
- File type
- Rights
All the content of the CSMA Institutional Repository will be freely accessible through the internet to any interested user.
The files may be viewed, reproduced or represented without the need to request permission as long as it is for educational or study and non-profit purposes. The use of any of the files contained in the R-SCMA requires not to make any type of change in the original, as well as to cite the name of the author or authors, title and bibliographic details, as well as a link to the original metadata.
The deposit of materials in the R-CSMA may be made by any member of the CSMA through the channels established for this purpose by the administrators of the R-CSMA. This includes:
- Teachers
- Undergraduate or Master’s students
- PAS
- Visiting faculty
To carry out the deposit of any material it will be necessary to sign a distribution agreement with which the author authorizes the CSMA to archive and disseminate it openly through its Institutional Repository.
The deposited materials should preferably be in an open format or, if this is not possible, in a widely used and widely recognized proprietary format, without a password protection or encryption and free of macros, sub-files or scripts embedded in the original.
The open formats accepted preferentially will be the following:
pdf, txt, xlm, rtf, htm, html, jpg, jpeg, gif, png, tiff, , wav, mpg, mpeg.
The recognized proprietary formats are:
MSOffice Document (doc, xls, xlsx, doc, docx, ppt, pptx), OpenDocument (odt, odg, odp, odc, odf, odb, odi), zip, mp3, mp4, flv, wmv, asf, mov, bmp.
All information about the authors depositaries of materials in the R-CSMA will be used solely and exclusively for the purpose of registering them in the CSMA Institutional Repository. In accordance with the Organic Law on the Protection of Personal Data 15/1999, the CSMA will not make public at any time the personal data of depositaries and users of the R-CSMA, except for the name and surname of the authors of the deposited materials that appear in the metadata of each file deposited.
